How much is registration?
To register, each participant pays a $100 entry fee that counts towards the minimum $2,000 team fundraising goal. The remaining portion can be fundraised or paid in full by the participants before the event.
Are there age restrictions to participate in Wheels for Wellness?
Participants must be 10 years of age or older to participate in the rally. Participants must be 18+ to attend the after-party.
How many people do we need to make a team?
Teams can be up to a maximum of four people.
Do I need an exotic car to participate?
No, all cars are welcome!
Event Day Questions:
What time is the event?
The show & shine begins at 10 a.m. followed by the start of the rally at noon. Teams will complete their checkpoints by 5 p.m. and the after-party will follow at 8 p.m.
What should I wear?
Many of our activities take place outdoors and some require physical activity. Please wear comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toed shoes and remember to dress for the weather.
What happens if it's Raining?
The event will take place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately as many activities will be outdoors.
How do I find out about the after-party?
The location reveal will be emailed to all participants at 5 p.m. on event day. If you do not receive an email, please visit the website as the location will be added to the After-Party page.
Where does the money go?
Net proceeds will be split 50/50 between the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation and the Mental Health Foundation, to fund mental health programs in your community and at the Stollery Children's Hospital.
How long do I have to raise funds?
You have until September 15 to raise the $2,000 fundraising minimum. If you are unable to meet the minimum amount by this day, you will be required to pay the remaining amount to confirm your spot in the rally.
What happens if I’m unable to secure the $2,000 minimum pledge?
If you do not have 50 per cent of your $2,000 fundraising goal two weeks prior to event day, you will be contacted by an event organizer to discuss your progress and your ability to raise the funds by event day.
Will I get a tax receipt?
All donations will automatically get a tax receipt issued to the credit card holder. Your $100 registration fee is NOT tax receiptable. The registration fee goes to cover event operating costs.
Tax receipts will also be issued for the portion of the after-party ticket that qualifies as a charitable gift, once all expenses have been accounted for.
What happens if we raise the money and we decide not to participate?
Registration fees and all money raised are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you are no longer able to participate, you may transfer your spot to another participant. Please contact Whitney Masson at email@example.com to make any changes.
